About Tyan Yoga

Tyan Yoga began in Chicago, Illinois in 2013. The company began once a freshly graduated yogi saw the potential in Chicago. The business grew steady through the years, but came to a close in winter 2016 when the owner moved to Norway. With a little over a year of taking a break, Ashley decided to offer her practices in Norway, creating Tyan Yoga Oslo. 


The Tyan view on yoga is disciplining oneself through physical postures, breathing techniques, and meditation which are the defining practices of yoga. To achieve this state, we must bring ourselves to the present moment to feel whatever it is we feel. Instead of pushing out everyday thoughts, the stress of office life and family- we can take time to feel these thoughts, which will in turn create a new sense of awareness in the body and mind.

Covid- 19

When classes go back to normal...

Students are to follow the markers within the room with their yoga mats (the markers separate students 1 1/2 meters apart. Our room by law can fit 10 students. We are following the guidelines of the Norwegian health authorities & kindly ask clients not to attend the studio if they are unwell & to ensure they are symptom free in the 48 hours prior to attending. Please wash your hands before & after class in addition to using the alcohol gel provided. Please bring your own mat as well.
